The common thread between interpersonal, business, and group
relationships is the ability to have timely, effective, and
appropriate communication. Regardless of age, sex,
economic status, or educational achievement, the tie that
enhances or strangulates is communication -- and it is far more
than the spoken word.
Having specific skills with an
overall strategy guarantees the success of a business, a group,
and an individual. No one thing is more powerful than
being an effective communicator.
Whether
in the bedroom or the boardroom, there is fertile ground for
conflict and confrontation.
Anger and conflict sometimes
comes from unintended communication or from very much
intended communication. Regardless of the source, it
is a costly social occurrence. From customer
confrontations to employee clashes, anger is not the best
solution.
-
Anger is a
reaction as opposed to a thoughtful response
-
Anger is
defensive and often becomes habitual
-
Anger can
be redirected into responsible, effective communication
Specific actions (skills) coupled
with an overall strategy (philosophy) makes conflict obsolete;
just something for other people to engage in.
And like all Darren J Murphy
Seminars, the communication/conflict resolution program will be
